El refugi d’ Elferhütte es troba a només una mica abans de l'ascensió al pic Elfer.
També es pot caminar en la direcció de la vall Pinnistal on es passa per els refugis de Karalm, Pinnisalm, Issenangeralm i Herzebenalm abans d'arribar a Neder.
En aquest refugi d’Elferhütte s’hi pot menjar i beure per agafar forces per l’ascensió.
